"If
you are told "No", insist but with self-criticism"
When we start a project and somebody
opposes our intentions and our work, this first causes the obstruction of this
work and secondly a psychological shock that can cause the repugnance of our
projects. The only solution to this problem is not to cede what we are thinking
to do. We must insist on executing these projects.
But the objection of others can
hinder our projects as it can help us when we are wrong. How then to
distinguish between a harmful objection and a fructuous objection?
Self-criticism is the only way to
surmount this embarrassment. We have to be objective in our choices, rigorous
in our decisions. If we are wrong and we refuse the wise advice of others, we
harm ourselves.
