in accomplishing simple things, will not invent things of value"
What is the meaning of laziness in
accomplishing simple things?
It
means negligence and insolence in the accomplishment of a job that does not
require much time and effort. The lazy is someone who prefers to do nothing. He
enjoys rest, comfort, relaxation, recreation and entertainment. It must be
pointed out that the rest and relaxation that lazy people seek are totally
different from the rest and relaxation that a serious person seeks. The serious
person asks for comfort after fatigue while the lazy person asks relaxation for
nothing. It should also be noted that a lazy person is not an incapable person
but a person who prefers rest at work.
Of course, we cannot expect the fulfillment
of great things from someone with these characteristics. The problem is
obvious: If you say that someone is unable to raise a quintal, you can
reasonably conclude that he is unable to raise two quintals. The person who
accepts that his shoes are everywhere, in the corners of the house and under
the bed and under the bookcase and his books scattered everywhere ... and the
smell of his socks feels far away ... will find neither strength or desire to
create sublime things.
